The project
A kitchen that opens and closes with the day.
Stamped stained oak veneer wraps the cabinetry, keeping much of the working space behind a continuous plane. Built-in ovens sit within the tall cabinetry so preparation areas stay composed.
A built-in coffee station supports the morning routine. For entertaining, pocket doors open to an illuminated beverage and china display, letting the kitchen shift without changing its overall character.

Material reading
Light, stone and lacquer.
On the lighter side of the kitchen, high-gloss lacquer cabinetry reflects changing daylight while channel handles keep each cabinet front clean.
A stone slab runs across the hood and lower cabinetry, carrying its veining in one continuous gesture. Illuminated glass cabinets frame the window and add another layer of light to the room.

A supporting detail
The work behind the visible surfaces.
Polished lacquer cabinetry, richly veined porcelain and walnut veneer add contrast. Walnut drawer inserts, a stainless steel workstation sink and concealed inner drawers support the practical work of the room.
