Eight project stages
From first conversation to installed cabinetry.
Every project differs. This sequence explains the decision gates without inventing a fixed schedule that may not fit your site or scope.

Discovery
Clarify whether the project is homeowner-led or trade-led, what is already designed, which decisions remain open and the intended construction schedule.

Showroom working session
Compare full-scale kitchens, cabinet construction, finishes, storage features and porcelain surfaces in Brookline.
- 03
Planning and budget alignment
Develop the cabinetry direction against room dimensions, appliances, scope and an agreed level of investment.

Field verification
Confirm dimensions and identify the project team's responsibilities for walls, floors, utilities, appliances, surfaces and cabinet interfaces.

Technical approval
Review the cabinet plan, elevations, finish schedule and relevant installation requirements before production release.
- 06
Production in Spain
The approved system enters manufacturing. Production and logistics timing is confirmed for the individual project rather than represented as a universal promise.

Site readiness and delivery
Coordinate access, storage, utilities and the conditions required before cabinetry arrives and installation begins.
- 08
Cabinet installation and closeout
Install the DOCA package, document punch items and distinguish cabinetry resolution from work owned by other project partners.
Responsibility matrix
Who does what?
DOCA Boston’s core product scope is European cabinetry and architectural millwork. Depending on the project agreement, services may also include planning, measurement, delivery and cabinet installation. General construction, permitting, utilities, flooring, structural work and other trades must be assigned explicitly.
For trade-led projects, the architect, interior designer or builder may already own many of those decisions. We coordinate with that structure instead of presenting every project as design-build.
