The project
Millwork that follows the architecture.
The residence is organized around sweeping curved walls, expansive glazing and uninterrupted views of the waterfront.
Kitchen and living spaces, wardrobes, laundry and architectural features were considered together. The result is a coordinated millwork approach that keeps the rooms connected while allowing each one to do its own work.
Material reading
White oak, light and display.
Floor-to-ceiling laundry storage, illuminated wardrobes and a white-oak media wall continue the same material direction through the house.
A curved display wall uses metal shelving and architectural lighting to work with the home’s geometry rather than sit apart from it.
A supporting detail
Wine storage built into the architecture.
The curved wall set the direction for a climate-controlled wine display.
Custom triple-pane glass, insulated wall panels, a concealed mechanical room and dedicated cooling support the installation. Brass wine pegs keep the bottles individually visible against the white oak veneer.
